Type Certifications Verifications
Method A specialist team evaluates the novelty and superiority of the proposed technology by document assessment and site visit. A specialist team evaluates the novelty and superiority of the proposed technology by document assessment and site visit, plus an on-site evaluation by an expert organization
Costs Two million won Two million won + site visit expenses
Time for procedure Not more than 90 days (period of public notice of the proposal and the time for complementing the application documents to be excluded) Not more than 120 days (period of public notice of the proposal, the time for complementing the application documents and the time for site visits to be excluded)

Incentives for novel technology owners

  • - Additional points can be given when competing in a bid for building public environmental infrastructure to which new technologies are applied.
    - Performance record is recognized when competing in a turn-key bid for public facilities (verification only)
    - Additional points can be given when assessing the qualification for treating construction wastes
    - for the application of new technologies to public facilities
    - Additional points can be given when competing in a bid floated by the Korean Public Procurement Service

Financial assistance for site visits

  • - A system to support 70% of the expenses for site inspections in relation to the verification of the technologies developed by Korean SMEs
